Frequently asked questions
Yes — 100%. Your domain is registered in your name. Your hosting account is yours. Your code lives in a repository you own. Lodestar Studio is added as a collaborator to manage and update it, but if you ever leave, you take everything with you. We'll even help you migrate it.
Wix and GoDaddy are tools — you still have to build and manage the site yourself. Lodestar Studio is a service. We do everything for you: build it, write the copy, launch it, and maintain it every month. You don't touch a thing.
Most sites are live within 5 business days of receiving your completed intake form. Complex Pro or Commerce sites may take 7–10 days. We'll give you an exact timeline before you pay a cent.
That's what your retainer is for. Submit a request through our simple ticketing system and we handle it — typically within 3 business days. For urgent issues like the site going down, we respond within 4 hours.
Yes, anytime. There are no long-term contracts on the retainer. Give us 30 days' notice and we'll help transition your site to self-managed or a new provider. You keep your website either way. See our pricing plans →
Just fill out our intake form — it takes about 15 minutes. Tell us your services, hours, contact info, and send any photos you have. We write the copy, design the layout, and handle all the technical setup. You review and approve before anything goes live.
We're based in Utah County and love working with local businesses — but our service is entirely online and we work with businesses anywhere in the US. We just happen to know Provo, Orem, Lehi, and Spanish Fork particularly well.
